Braintree Giving Helps Father Bill's Holiday Drive

Father Bill's & MainSpring is dedicated to ending homelessness in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Ellen Ward threw her energy this season into boosting Father Bill's and MainSpring's Holiday Drive in Braintree and it has paid off, with donations piling up at Town Hall during the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The bin at Town Hall will be accepting items like first aid kits, toiletries and bath towels through Jan. 2. Nearby donation bins are also at the Weymouth Club and at Open Doors on Washington Street.

Father Bill's and MainSpring is a non-profit formed when the two groups, based out of Quincy and Brockton, combined in 2007. The group focuses on finding housing first for homeless people and supporting them through workforce development and other programs.
