5 Things: Ways & Means, Crafts for Ages 4 and Up at Thayer Library

On this day in 1981, the longest ever professional baseball game began at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI. The game, between the Pawsox and the Rochester Red Wings, lasted 33 innings over a total of eight hours, 25 minutes. The first 32 inning were played over the 18th and 19th, and then the game was delayed until June 23. After resuming, the game was over in just one inning – 18 minutes. Pawtucket won, 3-2.

1. The Town Council's Committee on Ways & Means meets at 6:30 p.m. on the lower level of Town Hall to discuss the capital plan in regards to the Town Charter.

2. Thayer Public Library hosts Crafts for Ages 4 and Up from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Logan Auditorium.
