South Shore Chamber of Commerce announces The Conrad Group as Partner

ROCKLAND and BRAINTREE, MA, ISSUED JANUARY 28, 2014...The South Shore Chamber of Commerce, the region’s largest Chamber, today announced that The Conrad Group, Inc. has been named a Director’s Partner for the year 2014.

The Conrad Group is one of only 40 businesses to hold this prestigious position with the South Shore Chamber, affording financial commitment, promotional opportunity, high level connections with other Chamber partners and high-level participation in Chamber activities all the while boosting the Chamber’s visibility and reaching out to both existing and potential members.

Bob Conrad, a longtime resident of Hanover, MA, founded The Conrad Group, a full-service real estate brokerage firm, in 1988. Prior to that, he was with Coldwell Banker in Boston from 1980-1987, where he was the winner of the coveted “Top 5 Award” from 1983 to 1987. During his career, he has completed more than 2,500 transactions. His firm leases and sells commercial properties throughout Massachusetts, from Quincy to Plymouth and throughout the 95/459 corridor, handling a large number of transactions in Norwell, Hingham, Braintree, Quincy and Hanover.  Examples of his work locally include brokering the deal that has led to the 102,000 square foot South Shore Medical Center; an 87,000 square foot South Shore Collaborative in Hingham; and the brokering of the lease behind the new South Shore Chamber headquarters in Rockland that will be home to a new BMW dealership.

Conrad is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Prior to his work in commercial real estate, he was a teacher and football coach in Dedham and Rockland, MA. 

The Conrad Group had been located in Quincy’s Crown Colony Park for more than 20 years and recently relocated to 100 Grandview Drive, Braintree, in 2013. He serves as President and CEO and, in addition, The Conrad Group has five brokers who serve the leasing and sales needs of the region.

“I love real estate,” Conrad says, who says that another of his interests is the sport of Thoroughbred Racing. The father of four children, he spends his vacation time in Chatham, Mass. and Jackson, New Hampshire.

Of his role with the South Shore Chamber, he said, “The South Shore Chamber is an excellent organization for businesses in this region.
