Visions for Vacancies: What Should Go in the Old Newbury Comics Space?

What would you like to see in the vacant store font at 400 Franklin St.?

Last June, from its 400 Franklin St. store into a multi-level space at the . Since then, its former location has sat empty.

In a new feature on Braintree Patch, we're asking readers to suggest what they would like to see in vacant storefronts around town. What kind of business would you like to visit at the vacancy in the same shopping center as and ?

The Newbury Comics chain was founded in 1978 and has since grown to include 29 retail locations in New England, as well as a clothing store called Hootenany in Harvard Square and www.punk.com, a website featuring apparel and accessories. Its current Plaza location features clothing as well as DVDs, music and other produects.

The property on Franklin Street is owned by F.X. Messina Enterprises. Let us know in the comments section what you think should go here.
