The new Legal Sea Foods at South Shore Place in Braintree, featuring a vintage look, will open on Thursday, Nov. 7.
The 9,800-square-foot restaurant will seat 270 people throughout the bar area, oyster bar, food counter, dining room, private dining room and seasonal outdoor patio.
It will feature natural oak floors, white and blue hand crafted ceramic tiles, and walnut t-groove millwork planks, according to a press release. There will be seven televisions and a private dining room, closed off with sliding wood and glass doors, featuring walnut wood plank walls, three large 1950s vintage chandeliers and beautiful sheer drapery.
"Guests can enjoy many different dining experiences – whether it’s a social meal at one of two communal tables that overlook the bar and open kitchen, interactive dining at the oyster bar or food bar, an intimate booth seat, or comfy lounge seating on the patio," the company said.
The menu will include items specific to the new location, including pizza, along with eight varieties of oysters. The bar will have 19 signature cocktails.
The Braintree wine list is more compact and focused than other Legal Sea Foods locations, offering 29 wines by the glass, 10 wines by the half bottle to encourage experimentation and 54 wines by the bottle, according to the release. Three wines are proprietary to Legal Sea Foods and wine flights provide for exploration. There will be eight local draught beers and 12 bottled beers.
Both the South Shore Place Legal Sea Foods and the existing South Shore Plaza location will be open simultaneously until the Plaza location's lease expires in February.
The restaurant will be open: Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Monday - Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
