At Newton North High School
The Braintree High School Girls Varsity Soccer team fell to 2-2 on the season after a 1-0 loss to #6 ranked Newton North. Again Braintree played well defensively, holding the high scoring Tigers to a 0-0 tie at the half. Early in the second half however, Newton North scored the only goal of the game. The Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season.

Newton North coach Hamblin said “Braintree put in a defensive lineup with five or six players back. They were dangerous on their set pieces and we had to be careful of their counterattack.” Next up for the girls is an away match v. Brookline on Thursday, September 19 at 3:45pm.
