School Space Crunch Needs: If You Fail To Plan, You Plan To Fail

Dave Ringius is currently running for re-election to the Braintree School Committee.  One of the most pressing needs of Braintree's School System is, of course, the need for space in our schools.  Dave believes this is an issue that needs to be addressed now, and one that will involve long-range planning coupled with short term goals to maximize space moving forward.

"I was greatly impressed by the turn out for last night's meeting on School Space Needs, of the passion in the room, as well as the various ideas and concerns that were aired in this open forum.  The one thing that stands out to me is that despite different ideas on how to get to the end goal of more space, all agree a plan has to be formulated now and work has to begin to move this plan forward."

Dave continues, "There is an old adage I'm fond of that states, 'If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.'  It's always stood out to me because it applies to all facets of life, none more truer than with the space issue facing our schools.  I'm proud of the work that we've put into the refurbishment of our schools over the past six years, of the results we've seen in this Phase 1 of addressing this issue.  We now face the point that we must put into action long range planning as to create space, planning that must involve smaller goals along the way to create immediate space where needed."

"I look forward to working with town officials, the MSBA, school administration, and my fellow School Committee members on such a plan.  Our students continue to achieve academically, athletically, and in the arts and community.  Our teachers and staff are second to none.  We must ensure they have adequate space to continue to grow and foster the best learning environment possible for all levels and age groups!"

PLEASE VOTE RINGIUS FOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE NEXT TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH!!!!!!
