Kate N. Naughton For School Committee - 2 Year Term

Over thirteen years ago my husband Michael and I made the decision to buy our first home in Braintree.   There were many reasons for our decision to move to Braintree, at the top of the list was the Braintree School system.    It is widely known that Braintree has a reputable school system, and I wanted my son to have the best public education that I could provide. 

As an active parent volunteer I have volunteered as Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 138 and taught Faith Formation class at St. Clare's.   

It is volunteering for the Highlands PTO, and most importantly the Braintree Fund for Education where I have seen the wonderful opportunities that our schools have to offer, but also the areas that could use some strengthening. 

Right now, when we discuss the Braintree Schools, there are a few buzz phrases...   Space needs, Technology and Safety ...to name a few.  All of these  issues are of the utmost importance and all need continued attention.  It is my intention to continue the work of the current School Committee to see that our town provides the best public education to the the youth of our town. 

 I am a mom who wants the best for her son and the best  for all of the students of the Braintree Public Schools.
