George Kokoros, Write-In Candidate 4 yr. School Committee Seat. Please vote on November 5th !
I attended the public hearing on space needs Monday evening at Braintree High. I was impressed
with the number of parents and teachers who came forward to share their thoughts on this important
subject. There are many important decisions that have to be made in the coming years. It’s critical
that you elect the right candidate with the experience to be part of this decision process. I have been
involved with the Braintree Schools since I was a sophomore at Braintree High. I became the Chairman
of the Student Representatives to the School Committee and was an active participant in the process.
As a former Town Meeting member, I worked hard for families and neighborhoods as we tackled issues
like the Five Corners reconfiguration and the results of rapid growth and development in our Town.
Later, as a Finance Committee Member, I worked together with all town departments to manage
through the fiscal downturn. We were always respectful in minimizing the impact of our decisions to
the community, finding ways to re-hire teachers, police officers, and firefighters. As a member of your
school committee, I will use the relationships, knowledge, and experience gained to make the right
decisions on the upcoming challenges. Your vote on Election Day is the best way to insure that your
voice is heard. I will be open and accessible and work hard every day for you and your family.
I appreciate your support on Tuesday, November 5th
the Braintree School Committee!
