September 11 Events in Braintree

Ceremonies and other events memorializing the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks.

Braintree's September 11 remembrances begin Wednesday morning with a ceremony at the Fire Department HQ at 8:30 a.m.

In attendance will be Mayor Joseph Sullivan, Town Councilors, State and Town Officials and Members of Braintree Veterans Organizations. Everyone is welcome.

Following that ceremony, across the street on the Town Hall Mall, a stone will be dedicated to the Braintree's 9/11 10th anniversary remembrance committee, which planted 3,000 flags on the mall two years ago to remember the victims of the attacks.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hollis Elementary School will host its annual September 11th Firefighter/Police Officer Luncheon.
