Major Coastal Flooding Possible at High Tide

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning until 3 p.m. Friday.

Moderate to major coastal flooding is possible along the South Shore Friday, including in Braintree, according to the National Weather Service's Coastal Flood Warning.

The warning forecasts that the midday high tide will have a greater impact than the high tide on Thursday night.

High Tide is just after noon Friday in Braintree.

The Coastal Flood Warning, which includes the majority of the Massachusetts coastline, will be in effect until 3 p.m. Friday. 

Possible impacts include flooding of vulnerable shore roads, basement flooding, debris on roads and damage to shoreline structures, according to the NWS.
