Local Wellness Center Fundraising for Charlotte Kelly Memorial

Contact Laura Graziano at lapgraz@gmail.com for information about another upcoming fundraiser for the Charlotte Kelly Play Area.

FAB Face and Body, 454 Washington Street, will be donating 20% of all proceeds for appointments booked the week of Saturday, Feb. 23 – Saturday, March 2.

Proceeds will go toward fundraising that is currently underway across town for a memorial Charlotte Rose Kelly Play Area at French's Common next to Town Hall.

Charlotte Kelly, daughter of Greg and Patrice and sister of Owen and Shane, died at age 5 on December 7, 2011, in her Braintree home from neuroblastoma - a rare form of cancer that commonly occurs in very young children, associated with the nerve cells and adrenal glands. The cause of neuroblastoma is unknown and only 650 new cases are reported in the United States each year.

FAB Face and Body is a small boutique that opened just over a year ago and received the 2012 Reader's Choice Award for #1 Day Spa/Massage in Braintree. FAB offers 26 different types of facials and peels, as well as swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, couple and aromatherapy massages, along with lash enhancements and UV-free spray tanning. FAB uses a physician-based skin care line (PCA Skin) as well as an all-natural aromatherapy line (Skinessence), both of which use no fragrance, synthetics, dyes, or parabens.

Melissa McDonald, owner of FAB Face and Body, "encourages everyone to take some time to themselves while supporting the play area. Many people think that taking a spa break is a luxury they cannot afford. I think the opposite… it's something we can't afford not to do. Taking care of yourself, making sure you are healthy and well is more important in this ever-busy, hectic world that we live in."

To schedule an appointment, call 781-385-9601 or go online to the "appointment page" at fabfaceandbody.org.
