How is Your Snow Clearing Experience So Far in Braintree?

Braintree felt the first real effects of winter this week.

Last winter's main blizzard left many without power and a number of streets unplowed for 24 or 48 hours as it dumped two feet of snow in Braintree and throughout the region.

That experience propelled local officials to work on improving storm response for this winter, boosting plow rates, bringing in heavier equipment and adding personnel.

This weekend's and Tuesday night's storms brought several inches to Braintree, along with a few towed cars, but nothing compared to the impact felt in town last February.

That said, how has your experience been so far? Were you satisfied with the plowing and other snow clearing actions done in your neighborhood and on your street?

Tell us about it in the comments below.

A few people shared their feedback on Braintree Patch's Facebook page:

"Pretty good plowing on Hollis Ave," Amanda Dicob McDonnell said.

"Streets have been really good. My children's bus stop...not so much. A lot of snow and ice. Corner of Pleasantview and Quincy Ave," Melissa Barone said.

"Tompson road never gets plowed. Good thing we have two families on our street with snow plows," Julie Eames said.

"River st was plowed good but the surrounding side sets are not. And the kids bus stops on 3 coroners on river are a disaster. Not good for little kids," Patty O'Brien Robertson said.
