Dependable Cleaners Helps the Homeless by Joining the Warm Hands Warm Hearts Campaign

For over 65 years, Dependable Cleaners, a three generation family-owned company, has been providing premium cleaning services throughout Greater Boston and Southern Massachusetts.

Dependable Cleaners  is hoping to make winter a little bit warmer for people in need by hosting a winter accessory drive during the month of January. Partnering with Friends of Boston’s Homeless, Dependable Cleaners will be collecting brand-new or gently used winter hats, scarfs, pair of gloves or mittens, or new pairs of warm socks for the annual Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Campaign.   Individuals are encouraged to drop off these critically needed supplies for men, women, or children at any of Dependable Cleaners’ 16 locations.  Clients using Dependable Cleaners’ pickup and delivery service can also leave donations with their delivery drivers.

Founded in 1987, Friends of Boston’s Homeless is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports Homeless Services in partnership with the Boston Public Health Commission innovative to create solution-oriented programs to help the homeless move beyond shelter and back into the community as independent citizens. Friends also provides technical assistance and expertise in developing new transitional programs and the on-going improvement of existing programs to ensure the current and changing needs of the homeless are met.

“Boston winters can be unbearably cold and the winter months are the hardest for individuals who don’t have a place to live,” said Christa Hagearty, president and CEO of Dependable Cleaners.   “Our customers are very generous and we are proud to work with them to help Friends of Boston’s Homeless and their Warm Hands, Warm Hearts campaign.  We hope to make this winter just a little bit easier for people in need.”
