Classic Hits Performed Outdoors at Sunrise Senior Living

Two more concerts are scheduled for Sept. 4 and Sept. 11.

Duo-Sweet, featuring Rick Walsh, performed recognizable hits from the past 100 years at Sunrise Senior Living in Braintree last week as part of Sunrise's summer concert series.

Due to the series' success, two more dates were added: Sept. 4 featuring Chris Waters with the best of the 50’s and 60’s, and Sept. 11 featuring Mike Miano performing Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and classic show tunes.

The concerts are at the front of the facility on Granite Street from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. rain or shine. Public welcome along with Sunrise residents.

Lisa Carney, Senior Activities/Volunteer Coordinator, said residents, many of whom have Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, really enjoy listening and dancing to hits from their youth.

"Music is the last thing to go," she said.
