Braintree's Chris Duffy to be Remembered in Rose Parade

Duffy died in 2000 of a brain aneurism and his tissue donations helped 45 people.

Sandy and Paul Duffy lost their son Chris to a brain aneurysm in the middle of the night 13 years ago. Chris, dedicated to local baseball, coached for 15 years in Braintree and was involved in a league in Hingham.

Since he died at age 35, donations of Chris's organs and tissues gave sight to two women and his tissue donation helped 45 others.

On New Year's Day, his legacy will be carried to Pasadena, CA, where his floral portrait will be one of 81 appearing on the Donate Life float in the Rose Parade. The floragraph is sponsored by New England Eye and Tissue Transplant Bank – TBI Boston.
