5 Things: Teen Summer Service Program, Hydrant Flushing

A run-down of events and other useful information for your life in Braintree on July 17, 2013.

1. The Teen Advisory Group at Thayer Public Library kicks off a Teen Summer Service Program today from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Logan Auditorium.

"This five week program is a leadership and community involvement opportunity for teens ages 13-17. Participants will share their ideas, creativity, and skills while working on exciting library projects. We'll work on a new project each week. Registration is required."

2. Click here for a reminder of the town's hydrant flushing program, which began earlier this month. 

3. The heat wave continues today with a high around 93 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight. Stick with Braintree Patch for heat-related information.
