WALKING TO SAVE LIVES: Peabody Properties a Sponsor of 2013 National Kidney Foundation Walk
A team of more than 250 Peabody Properties employees, family members, friends and residents, recently participated in the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) annual Kidney Walk in Cambridge. An inspiring fundraiser, the Kidney Walk helps NKF raise awareness and funds for lifesaving programs that educate and support patients, their families and those at risk
On October 27th, Peabody Properties’ walk team, “Pink and Pumping,” came together to participate in and sponsor its first Kidney Walk, raising over $38,000 to date. Peabody Properties Principal and Chief Operating Officer, Melissa Fish-Crane, served as Co-Chair of NKF’s 2013 Boston Kidney Walk along with Antonelli Professional Resources, Inc. President, Joe Antonelli.

According to Fish-Crane, a member of the Kidney Foundation of New England’s board, sponsoring and participating in the Kidney Walk was a natural fit for the Peabody Properties team. “NKF’s mission was one we connected with from both a corporate prospective and on personal level. By sponsoring this event we learned that kidney disease has touched the Peabody Properties family, our loved ones and our residents. Having seen first-hand the harmful effects of kidney disease, the walk was the perfect opportunity for many of us to contribute in ways that can help save lives,” said Fish-Crane.
