South Middle School 5k Run/Walk is March 29

South Middle School will be having its 2nd annual road race to raise money for scholarships. Every year South Middle gives away two $1,000 scholarships to graduating Seniors at Braintree High School. Last year we had nearly 110 runners/walkers despite the freezing March temperatures. The race is organized by the South Middle School Student Council and their teacher advisor Matthew Freeman.

The race is set for March 29, 2014 @ 9:00 am and it will start and end at South Middle School 232 Peach Street, Braintree, MA. To view a map of the course go to http://www.walkjogrun.net/routes/current_route.cfm?rid=AAFD8152-F8FD-C0C6-F3A7B64069B0F4F3 (click on route #1) The cost is $30 and it is free for kids 10 and under. After March 17th if available (supplies are limited).  Anyone can sign up to run/walk, you do not have to be a South Middle School family or even live in Braintree.

Walk in Registration will be open Friday, March 28th 4:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday morning at 7:00am until race time. South Middle School Gymnasium 232 Peach St. Braintree.

This was a lot of fun last year. The kids did a great job putting on a terrific event. This year should be even bigger.
