Peabody Properties Service Manager Recognized for Maintenance Skills

For most people, installing a fire and carbon monoxide detector takes a few minutes.  But Roberto Gomes, Service Manager for Peabody Properties, can do it in 10.2 seconds – fast enough to earn him one of two awards he recently received at the National Apartment Association’s (NAA) annual Maintenance Mania competition.

Each year, the NAA and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board invite maintenance technicians from across the state to put their skills to the ultimate test, racing against the clock – and one another – to install ceiling fans, repair faucets, replace lamps and ballasts and more.  This year’s competition marked the fourth consecutive year that the staff of Peabody Properties, Inc. – a Braintree-based, full-service real estate firm managing in excess of 10,000 units of housing throughout New England – has participated in Maintenance Mania.  Gomes is a three-year veteran of the games and took home awards in the Seasons Ceiling Fan Installation and Fire and Carbon Monoxide Safety Installation categories.
