Braintree Resident Dan Kelleher Receives Graduation Award from MGH Institute of Health Professions

Braintree resident Dan Kelleher received the 2014 Marjorie K. Ionta Award for Clinical Excellence from the Department of Physical Therapy at MGH Institute of Health Professions during the Boston health sciences graduate school’s commencement ceremonies in May.

Kelleher, who graduated in May with Doctor of Physical Therapy from the health sciences graduate school, was recognized by his clinical instructor for his high level of critical thinking and clinical decision making, his tireless efforts to advocate for his patients, and his ability to communicate with members of the health care team in a professional and respectful manner—all with the goal to optimize his patients’ experiences and outcomes.

“Dan truly epitomizes all the qualities of the Ionta Award, and we know he will continue to foster these skills as he develops as a physical therapist,” said Clinical Assistant Professor Anne McCarthy Jacobson, DPT, MS, NCS.
