Bomb Threat at UMass Boston, Building Evacuated

Braintree National - What's the deal???

It's late January and the league is still sending out generic "time to register" emails.  No, the time to register was long ago, but because of the turmoil, many people have refused to register.  Now it appears the season is in jeopardy.

Why on earth is the current leadership digging in their heels so much?  Why would they not just walk away in the face of such public outcry?

Little League should be about the kids, not the administrators.

Let the Kids play ball

It would be so much easier to allow the members a vote instead they have invested a lot of energy in avoiding one. It all started with a petition, letters to the Mayor and Little League. People want to be heard, instead the current board is trying to sneak off to Cal Ripken without advising the general membership. All to avoid accountability. Everyone should be asking what are they hiding?

Just let the parents have a vote for board members and what league to go with. If the current board was for the kids and the town they wouldn't be afraid of a vote!!!!!!!! LET US VOTE!

Maybe the girls should just go play for South Braintree instead of having to deal with all this other stuff (Cal Ripken is a boys league anyways, why should all the other leagues suffer)... it is about the kids after all isn't it?

Good question for the Board. South braintree is ASA softball as well from what I hear the numbers are down for both. Makes sense if they combined. Again it all comes back to the BNYL board. Still hearing nothing but crickets...

Last night, the 'board' met with the Mayor, other town officials, and members of A Better BNYL and they would even sit at the same table to face the music…Mrs. President denied to the Mayor that they were in talks about joining Cal Ripken, although I saw a powerpoint presentation at last week's meeting at the Braintree Yacht Club that showed how they renovated a field to make it CR-eligible and that a few coaches even went to training last year…but they ARE NOT entertaining the idea, yeah right…just drop the drama, step down, and let the kids play baseball/softball at Watson as they have done for over 30 years...

Between this and no pool/ice rink I'm becoming very disappointed in this town that I have lived in all my life.

Just got the "District 8" email. Concerned that I will be out the registration fee I already paid BNYL.

Mrs. Fitzgerald said at the Braintree Yacht Club meeting, to email her (bnyl@braintreenational.com) and she will get your money back; not sure why you shouldn't email the treasurer (treasurer@braintreenational.com)...you can't be the only parent looking for a refund!

time for the big bully who runs things (into the ground) to move aside
East Braintree Little League January 28, 2014 at 11:01 PM
I heard that after the meeting at the yacht club, 2 people demanded refunds. Nice job Nicole! The members aren't dumb! You can hide from the facts and truth...Step aside. The members will have Little League at Watson 2014 !
