Boston A's bring home Championship from Puerto Rico

Over Veteran's Day weekend the Boston A’s, a U16 club baseball team, traveled to Puerto Rico for a weekend tournament held at Hiram Bithorn Stadium.  The 20,000 seat stadium has played host to the world baseball classic.  Our local team stunned the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy, taking 2 out of 3 games and brought home the championship.  Six Braintree players played great roles in the accomplishment.  Scott Creedon and Mike Riley, both with multiple strikeouts posted pitching victories.  Antonio Tenaglia and Brandon Chin lead the offensive attack with multiple hits in each game.  In the field, Stephen Burns was the backbone of the defense with many strong plays.  Matt Riley sparked team from off the bench.
