Thayer Library Undergoing Renovations, Braintree High Football

5 Things: A run-down of events and other useful information for your life in Braintree on Sept. 6, 2013.

1. Floor renovations in the Logan Auditorium take place today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Middle level renovations start on Monday, Sept. 9. From the library

"We're thrilled to announce the library will be replacing the rug on the middle level of the building in September. After more than a year of conversation, planning and lots of prep, we all are excited to see the work begin.

"The middle level of the library, which includes, fiction, new books, DVDs and audio-visual material will be closed to the public. The middle level will be closed Monday, Sept. 9, and will reopen Monday, Sept. 16.

"We apologize for any inconvenience the renovation process may cause. Please continue to use the lower level and Children's Room through this renovation period."

2. Braintree High School football play at home against Attleboro at 4:15 p.m. this afternoon.

3. Activities today at the Senior Center on Cleveland Avenue include: 

9:15 a.m. Exercise Class 

10 a.m. Weight Loss Group

11 a.m. Tai Chi Class  Tony resumes today! and Library van ride 

12 p.m. Pool Players

1 p.m. Women’s Poker
