Teen Creative Writing Group, PRIDE Lesson at BHS

5 Things: A run-down of events and other useful information for you life in Braintree on Sept. 13, 2013.

1. The Teen Creative Writing Group meets at Thayer Public Library from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Young Adult Room. "Teens ages 12-17 are invited to the library's monthly creative writing program. We'll focus on developing ideas, finding inspiration, and how to get published. Plus meet other writers. No registration required."

Renovations continue today in the Logan Auditorium.

2. Students at Braintree High School will have a PRIDE lesson during third period today. 

3. Activities at the Senior Center on Cleveland Avenue include: 

9:15 Exercise Class 
10:00 Weight Loss Group 
11:00 Tai Chi Class and Library van ride 
12:00 Pool Players and Moose Lodge  Senior Luncheon  (Please see newsletter article and call to sign up)
1:00 Women’s Poker

4. Showers and possible thunderstorms during the day Friday, followed by a partly cloudy night with a low around 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

5. Law & Order premiered on NBC today in 1990. It completed its 20th and final season on May 24 last year – tying Gunsmoke for the longest-running dramatic series of all time. In other TV/entertainment news, on this day in 2007, the NFL fined coach Bill Belichick $500,000 and the Patriots $250,000 for spying on the New York Jets during a game.
