Tax Deal Back Before Council, Kindergarten Info Night

5 Things: A run-down of events and other useful information for your life in Braintree on Jan, 23, 2014.

1. Rescheduled from Tuesday: The Town Council meets at 6 p.m. at Town Hall Thursday evening.

Among the agenda items: a Braintree Youth Hockey ice rink discussion, a request for a property tax break from Haemonetics, a street acceptance request from Elmlawn Road Extension and council committee appointments.

2. Braintree Public Schools are hosting a kindergarten information night at Braintree High School in the auditorium at 7 p.m.

3. A town-wide on-street parking ban remains in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning to allow crews to clear snow from Braintree streets.

4. No snow forecast for Thursday, but frigid temps. The National Weather Service is predicting a partly sunny day with a high near 15, wind chills as low as -13. Thursday night partly cloudy real temp low around 3.
