Pearl Harbor Remembrance, Teen Creative Writing Group

1. The Town of Braintree, in keeping with its tradition of honoring all veterans, is conducting an observance for the 72nd anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

2. The Teen Creative Writing Group meets at Thayer Public Library from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Logan Auditorium.

5. Before ever being headquartered in Washington D.C., the U.S. Congress moved from New York to Philadelphia on this day in 1790. The radio was used for the first time for a presidential address on this day in 1923, when Calvin Coolidge addressed a joint session of Congress.

In 1947, the Everglades were dedicated, and in 1969, the Rolling Stones' concert at Altamont Speedway in California exploded in violence and four people were killed.
