Ladies Night Out Supports Braintree High Grad Party, Colonial Life in New England

5 Things: A run-down of events and other useful information for your life in Braintree on Nov. 14, 2013.

1. There is a "Ladies Night Out" at Braintree Town Hall from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday to benefit the BHS All Night Grad Party. The event will feature more than 30 crafters and vendors and great holiday gift and decoration ideas.

2. Braintree High School hosts a financial aid night for senior parents at 7 p.m.

3. Thayer Public Library hosts "Colonial Life in New England" from 7 p.m. to 8:35 p.m. in the Logan Auditorium. 

"Did you know colonial farmers could predict the weather using a cow? Find out more interesting facts about colonial life in New England with Dave Downs.  Program is fun and for all ages."

4. It will not be quite as cold Thursday as Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, with highs approaching 50 degrees and sunny skies. Winds could hit 14 to 16 miles per hour, though. Thursday night should be clear, low around 34.
