Join us for a tour of our bright and spacious studio classrooms. See live demos in sketching, pattern making, and French draping with our expert faculty. Ask questions and chat with Admissions staff and students. Learn about our new&nbsp;Summer workshop series!

The School of Fashion Design was established in 1934 and is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the applied study of apparel design and construction. The School of Fashion Design is committed to excellence in educating students in the complete fashion design process, from creation and innovation to comprehensive technical expertise, so that they are prepared to become leaders and successful entrepreneurs in fashion design.&nbsp;
The School of Fashion Design is a fully licensed studio school offering a 20-course program of study in fashion design. Fashion Design is a learned skill, and our curriculum begins at Level I. Full-time students generally take five courses each semester for two years. Part-time study is also available both days and evenings. Students completing the full program receive a Certificate in Fashion Design from SFD. Our expert faculty bring professional industry experience to our studio classrooms, providing students with a unique hands-on environment to prepare for their fashion careers.&nbsp;
NEW this summer, we are offering creative workshops in fabric dying, weaving, lace making, up cycling and more! &nbsp;We also offer a pre-college program for high school students in the Greater Boston area who are interested in exploring the fashion industry.&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.pmc.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">The Pan-Mass Challenge</a> (PMC), a charitable bike-a-thon held every August, is the nation’s single most successful athletic fundraiser, having raised $972 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since its inception. As a spoke in the PMC wheel, the organization hosts <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">PMC Kids Rides</a> throughout Massachusetts and New England and is looking to expand the program’s leadership in Boston.


The PMC is calling for an eager, passionate and dedicated volunteer in Boston to join the cause as a PMC Kids Rides Coordinator. The PMC Kids Ride Coordinator will have the opportunity to work directly with PMC staff to plan, promote and execute this exciting ride!    

In 2023, 19 PMC Kids Rides attracted 1,400 young cyclists and 563 volunteers to raise more than $400,000 as part of the PMC’s record-breaking $72 million gift to Dana-Farber. 2024 is particularly special as it marks the 20th anniversary of the PMC Kids Rides program! This year, the PMC is also positioned to cross a monumental $1 billion in lifetime fundraising for Dana-Farber.    

PMC Kids Rides offer a way for children to become part of the PMC mission, involving young people in volunteerism and fundraising in a safe and athletic way. Since its first ride in 1998, the PMC Kids Rides program has raised more than $11 million.
