Smoke detectors are loud and sensitive. They warn citizens well ahead of time and are easy toRead Morereset. On the other hand a sprinkler system does not have an early warning system and the fire would be "Cooking" by the time they go off, which would indicate that loss of life would be high.

Patrick a very well written article. Many of us share your love of sports but agree with your point Read Moreof view. Schools were created to educate the mind. Sadly a lot of press and dollars are dedicated to the sports programs in many school systems as other pieces of the education system fall into disrepair.

Hopefully what ever happens the kids get to play baseball and softball at Watson Park this year and Read Morehave fun doing it. It sounds like there is still a lot to do and that things still need to be figured out with opening day around the corner.

I voted for the new board for EBLL last Sunday. I heard they will be submitting the applicationsRead Moref or the permits for Watson Park very soon. I guess they are waiting to fill in the rosters so they can make up schedules before they can get the permits. I was told that most of the divisions are ready to go and they only need a few players in the younger divisions to be finished. What happened to the Cal Ripken league? Did they fold? Some of my friends kids are registered with them and are worried that their kids won't be able to play. Someone else said they might play at Adams?
Jake March 03, 2014 at 09:48 AM
Any update the Cal Ripken league, are they not having it? Is EBLL also hosting the girls? MyRead Moreniece is signed up and I asked my brother about it he didn't seem to know much about it. He assumed softball was allset since no one has told them anything different.
