Weymouth Woman Charged with Drug Possession After Alleged Kmart Shoplifting
The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A 30-year-old Weymouth woman was arrested outside Kmart in Braintree last week after she and another woman allegedly tried to steal a carriage full of merchandise.
Police were called to the store on Wednesday, Nov. 28 after the women fled with the stolen goods, Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. A 22-year-old Quincy woman got away, but Sherrie Frazier of Weymouth was arrested.
The recovered merchandise totalled more than $1,000.
Frazier was charged with larceny over $250 and possession of Suboxone and Lyrica, Jenkins said. The other woman was not named because she had yet to be charged.
