Police: Shoplifting Team Split on Getaway, Stoughton Woman Arrested
The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Police arrested a Stoughton woman last Saturday after she allegedly tried to steal nearly $400 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the South Shore Plaza with another woman.
Shannon L. Reardon, 34, was charged with larcency over $250, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement, and an unidentified accomplice – a woman driving a brown SUV – was not apprehended.
Loss prevention at Macy's told police that they observed Reardon and the other woman leaving the store with unpaid merchadise on the afternoon of Dec. 31, Jenkins said. Police nabbed Reardon outside the store as the SUV drove off.
