Police: Plaza Shoplifter Allegedly Used Tools, Combative With Security

A New Hampshire man was arrested at the South Shore Plaza last Monday evening after allegedly trying to use tools to steal $300 worth of clothing from Lord & Taylor.
Matthew B. Guilmette, 29, of Raymond, NH, was observed by loss prevention using wire cutters to remove the security sensors on a jacket and shirt, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. He was combative when security detained him and responding police officers took him into custory.
Guilmette was charged with larceny over $250 and possession of burglarious tools.
