Braintree man charged with possession of marijuana
Nicholas FitzGerald, 20, of 115 Park St., Braintree was arraigned in Quincy District Court on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. The case was continued to June 22. The charges stem from a May 5 incident in Braintree at 7:02 p.m. when police were dispatched to the area of Lowell and Cedar streets for a report of four youths looking into parked cars. Police later stopped the youths traveling in a motor vehicle. FitzGerald allegedly was holding .3 ounces of marijuana in four Ziplock bags.
Assault and battery, malicious damage charges dismissed
Phillip S. Daggett, 55, of 25 Elm Knoll Road, Braintree had charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property over $250, and intimidating a witness dismissed in Quincy District Court following a jury trial. The charges stem from a Aug. 17, 2011 incident in Braintree at 7:34 p.m. when police were dispatched to 25 Elm Knoll Road for a report of a woman screaming on the porch. Police alleged that Daggett threw a glass bottle at the woman and struck her right arm during an argument.
Duxbury woman faces disposition of larceny charge
Lydia A. Donnelly, 23, of 483 Temple St., Duxbury had a charge of larceny over $250 continued to Sept. 11 for disposition in Quincy District Court. The charge stems from a Nov. 9, 2011 incident in Braintree at Lord and Taylor at the South Shore Plaza where authorities reviewd store video allegedly showing couple using a credit card without authority. Donnelly allegedly was captured on video placing jewelry into a gray pocketbook and wearing a pair of stolen earrings, according to police.
