A Braintree police officer spotted a 25-year-old Hull man run through a red light on Quincy Avenue at Hayward Street last Sunday morning and arrested him on charges of operating under the influence.
Officer Brian Eng pulled over Kevin M. Andrade and smelled alcohol when he approached, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. He also made other observations that Andrade was intoxicated, Jenkins said, and asked him to take sobriety tests.
"At the conclusion of the tests, Andrade was placed under arrest and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and failure to stop for a red light," Jenkins said.
