Has Your Street in Braintree Been Plowed?

Follow us at Braintree Patch for updates.

A number of residents reached out to Braintree Patch on Saturday about their streets not being plowed since Friday night or not at all. Town officials say that DPW crews are working hard to clear the public ways in Braintree, and that it will be an ongoing effort into Sunday.

Among the streets that have been mentioned as un-plowed or not plowed in 18 or 24 hours are:

Sycamore Road

Thetford Avenue

Angela Road

Dobson Road

Arnold Street

BV French Street

Add your own road in the comments below and help create a list of places for plows to target.

Thayer ave, completely untouched. Braintree Woods is completely untouched as well. Very dangerous if emergency equipment needs to access a home.

Arnold Street and surrounding areas completely untouched. This is unacceptable. How hasn't a truck at least made a pass one time all day?

Just called DPW at 781-794-8965. Nice lady explained that they are aware of many roads that need plowing and that front-end loaders are out clearing remaining roads.

Hannah Niles Way has not been plowed at all, 4 and 5 ft drifts, completely stacked with snow, no way in or out. Unacceptable.

Reservoir Av & Reservoir Circle still not even touched. Foue eLderly families live in the area so how could ambulance get thru if needed. Cannot get to fire hydrant to help FD. How could FD even get here or police?

This is not first storm Braintree has ever experienced. Why weren't we better prepared? Or done a better job?

Ledgewood Rd. - down the end is still not plowed.3 calls to the highway Dept
No Luck - 1 call to City hall No Luck.. My U.S.Mail man wont trudge through the mess
on the street in front of my house .He always drives up to my mail box but not now.I wonder if Tom Minino in Boston can help with the impossible task that I have in the town that I pay taxes to or do they expect a man that is 74 & uses oxygen to go out & shovel ? Great service for a retired town employee.

Thanks for everyone adding their streets. The volume of snow caused break-downs for some plows, but the town is attacking side streets now after the main roads have been cleared. I'll have another updated story later today on streets, schools, etc.

Old Washington street is horrible. This is a two way street, but now its one way. We cant get out of driveway the street is so narrow to back up. There is at least 3 or feet on street in front of our homes that has not been plowed.

I wont bother you anymore . My problem has been resolved by my neighbor
with his snow blower & his neighbor with a plow blade on his pickup. Its a funny thing I don't even pay them my taxes. Its great to know that there are people that still look
out for one another. I feel bad for those plows that are broken down under the Union St. bridge waiting for there mechanics to come & get them going again.
Must be boring sitting there most of the night drinking coffee .
See you all next storm.!!!

Marjorie is also a two way that has been turned into a one way. I hope that some of these side roads are re-visited today, it's treacherous out there...
