Bus Driver in Fatal Crash at Mohegan Sun from Braintree, Police Say

A 62-year-old casino worker was killed in the crash on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of a bus that struck and killed a casino worker in Connecticut is from Braintree, according to the Connecticut State Police.

A local NBC affiliate reported Thursday that Lin Qi Si, 38, of Braintree, was driving the commercial bus on Wednesday that hit Pui Yi Li, a 62-year-old from Elmhurst, New York, at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

Li died of her injuries after being transported to the hospital. No charges have been filed, NBC reported, and the state police and DMV are investigating the accident.

The driver, Si, has multiple driving infractions on his record, according to an article by The Day of New London, CT.

The newspaper reports:

"Because the violations happened within a 24-month time frame, Si was required to take a National Safety Council course to avoid a license suspension, according to the Massachusetts RMV. He completed the course on May 5."
