Braintree Residents Donate More Than $7,000 to Obama Campaign

The FEC database breaks down presidential, congressional and other campaign donations by state and city.

As of the end of June, Braintree residents had donated $7,618 to the campaign of President Obama, according to an analysis of the Federal Election Commission database.

Among the most prolific donors are local author James D. Livingston ($2,500) and UMass professor Sharon Penney Livingston ($1,700). Others include teachers, retired folks, an MIT lab staff member, a Boston Globe sales rep, a self-employed writer, Comcast employee and restauranteur.

More donation info will be available after the Sept. 30 FEC deadline. For a run-down of local elections, go to http://braintree.patch.com/articles/braintree-election-guide.
