Braintree Police Investigating Recent Residential Break-ins
The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Returning on Saturday after being away all day, a Braintree resident told police that his Washington Street apartment was broken into.
Upon arrival at 5:30 p.m., he found that his second floor apartment had been forced open, but nothing was missing, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
Then on Monday, Feb. 27, a River Street resident reported that her home was broken into and medication and jewelry was taken, Jenkins said. Her son found the front glass door smashed when he returned home after 4 a.m. on Monday morning.
The homeowner's son told officers that he left the house at 7:40 p.m. on Sunday evening, Jenkins said. When the homeowner returned home, she discovered the
missing property.
