A 26-year-old Braintree man was transported to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries following a motorycle accident on Washington Street Sunday night.

The man was the sole operator in the single-vehicle crash, Police Chief Russell Jenkins said in an email. The accident happened at approximately 8 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and Wampatuck Road in the Highlands section of Braintree.
