UPDATE: Athletic Director Michael Denise says:

"We would like to congratulate the Boys Ice Hockey Program for being considered as a top team for the Division 1A “Super 8” Ice Hockey Tournament. 

"Unfortunately, the team was not selected to participate in the 1A Tournament, therefore they boys will be a top seed in the Division 1 South Sectional Tournament.  Seedings, contest dates, sites and starting times will be determined by tomorrow."

Girls Basketball – South Division 1

Braintree (2) has a BYE in the first round, then plays the winner of West Roxbury (15) vs. Quincy (18) at BHS on Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Braintree is 20-2.

Boys Basketball – South Division 1

Braintree (14) has a BYE in the first round, then plays Boston College High (3) away at 5 p.m. on Feb. 27. The winner of that game plays the winner of North Quincy (6) vs. Natick (11).

Braintree is 11-9.

Girls Ice Hockey – South Division 1

Braintree (24) takes on Billerica (9) away at 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 26. The victor plays the winner of Lincoln-Sudbury (8) vs. Wayland/Weston (25) on TBA.

Braintree is 9-8-3.
