Braintree High Headmaster Launches Blog
The new website will help to modernize the newsletter, Headmaster James Lee said in an email to families on Monday.
Braintree High Headmaster James Lee's new blog aims to inform the school community on a rolling basis – a 21st century newsletter with updates on sports victories, fundraisers and other events.
Lee pushed out the website – www.bhsheadmaster.blogspot.com – in an email to parents on Monday morning, but it has already been filling up with news and information.
"It's incredibly efficient," Lee said. "It's a better way, in my mind, of keeping people current."
Already the site has updates on holiday and food drives, a note about the Dance Team's state championship victory on Sunday, and a monthly message from the headmaster. Lee said he plans to write a post every month and also update the site with "instantaneous" information, a significant upgrade over the typical monthly newsletter.
The blog allows BHS parents to subscribe, sending them emails whenever something new is posted. Lee said the tool has been successful at previous schools where he worked and his next step is to get the faculty involved.

Excellent idea. Very happy to see this type of initiative.
