Braintree Girls Hockey Shuts Out Fontbonne

The Braintree Lady Wamps Girls Hockey team stunned Fontbonne on Wednesday, Jan. 30, shutting out the Ducks 1-0.
Freshman Meg Gilbride scored her ninth goal of the season in the first period. Rachael Brazil had 44 shots (not 29 shots as inaccurately reported by the Patriot Ledger) keeping Fontbonne scoreless in the game to earn the shutout.
Kiley Swain, Emily and Korie Cadigan and Mary Shea played tough physical defense against the chippy Fontbonne Team.
