Braintee High Students Shine at Southeast MA Science Fair
Three Braintree High projects finished in the top 40.
Braintree High School's top Science Fair projects competed at the Southeast MA Science Fair at Bridgewater State College on Saturday, March 9th.
Twenty-three schools entered 133 projects. Braintree High was well represented with talented students and interesting research projects. The 10 Braintree High students that exhibited at the Regional contest had earned their placement after garnering the top Braintree High School Science Fair awards.
Three Braintree High projects finished in the top 40, qualifying them for entry into the State Science Fair finals, held in May, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jackie Flynn's "Hot Tips for Ticks" project took second place and received a Naval Science Award. Sonam Ghosh's "Detection of Anti-Breast Cancer Compounds in Extracts from Nature Products" was awarded third place.
Hannah Tan took third place with her project "Testing Quality of Composition in Different Water Samples."
Additional Braintree High School projects were presented by Nicole Clancy, Purva Rumde, Jaiying Su, Vyshnavi Anandan, Caitlin Gardner, Adriana McDevitt and Leah Tan.
