Boston College Team Trains With Braintree Youth Lacrosse

Braintree Youth Lacrosse has 350 local girls and boys participating.

Boston College men's lacrosse team coach Kevin Orcutt and several of his players joined boys from Braintree Youth Lacrosse Wednesday evening to teach them drills and plays at Braintree High School.

Orcutt, a former Quincy High coach, is also the director of Hawks Lacrosse, an independent development program that provides individual and small group instruction on all things lacrosse on the South Shore. He has helped lead the nationally-ranked Eagles to an undefeated record so far this season.

Approximately 220 boys and 130 girls participate this year in Braintree High School lacrosse. They practice during the week and play games on Sundays. Varsity players from BHS also pitch in during practices, director Tim Hemmert said.
