On this day in 1638, Anne Hutchinson was banished from the Massachusetts Bay Colony for heresy. Hutchinson moved to what is now Portsmouth, RI after a trial found her guilty and excommunicated her from the Puritan Church.

2. Braintree has introduced online registration for spring sports.
