5 Injured in Accident on Route 3 in Braintree, Northbound Lane Closures
State police are on the scene near the rotary at Union Street in Braintree.
A vehicle carrying five people went out of control on Route 3 North in Braintree on Monday evening, causing an accident that sent all five to the hospital and closed lanes on the highway.
Route 3 North was closed except for one lane near the scene of the crash at the Union Street exit as of 8 p.m. Monday. A Massachusetts State Police crime scene unit from Milton is on the scene, along with a reconstruction unit, to determine the cause of the crash, police spokesman David Procopio said in an email.
One of the five in the car was injured seriously, Procopio said. Two people were taken to South Shore Hospital and three to Boston Medical Center.

I hope everyone is ok. Thanks for posting. I went up on route 3 north at Union st. and saw the police behind me and the road closed, southbound was at a standstill. Could not find any info on major news websites, should have known to check here first.

I saw it from the southbound side (but not the cause). It was horrible. The car went airborn, the bottom of the car hit the jersey barrier, then it did several flips northward. I hope everyone comes through it okay.
