SOUTH SHORE PLAZA SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH BOSTON’S COLOR ME RAD 5K!

South Shore Plaza is accepting interest from local residents who would like to volunteer during the Color Me Rad 5K to be held on Sunday, July 15th from 8:00 a.m. – 10: 00 a.m. Approximately 5,000, white-clad runners are preparing to wind through South Shore Plaza’s property and will be bombarded with color throughout the course until their face, shirt and body cross the finish line looking like a silkscreened tie-dyed hippy.
The charity partner for Color Me Rad is the Simon Youth Foundation. SYF is a national public charity that is a part of Simon Property Group that helps ignite hope through educational opportunities for students who are at risk of dropping out of high school. For every volunteer who is a part of this year’s 5k, $75.00 will be donated to SYF.
“South Shore Plaza is thrilled to host Boston’s Color Me Rad this year. It gives the chance for local volunteers and runners to have a unique and fun experience that you can’t find anywhere else,” said Director of Mall Marketing Vicki Bartkiewicz. “We are also proud that a portion of funds will be donated to the Simon Youth Foundation which is a big part of the local community for high school seniors preparing to begin college.”
