NFP Thorbahn Launches New Wellness & Citizenship Initiative with South Shore Habitat for Humanity
NFP Thorbahn, one of the state’s largest employee benefits consulting firms is launching a new charitable partnership with South Shore Habitat for Humanity.
The yearlong campaign kicked off last week, as a team of ten NFP Thorbahn employees spent the day installing baseboard, caulking, painting, laying tile and installing a stone walkway at a home being built in Norwell for a deserving mother and daughter. This is the first of several build days that NFP Thorbahn employees will take part in over the next year in an effort to raise awareness for the need of affordable housing in Massachusetts.
In addition to volunteering onsite, NFP Thorbahn will lead several other fundraising initiatives in 2013. From supply drives to an executive golf event to networking on behalf of the organization, NFP Thorbahn plans to be in sync with South Shore Habitat throughout the year.
John Thorbahn, president of NFP Thorbahn said, “An important focus of our business is health promotion and overall wellness for our customers, our employees and our community. Supporting South Shore Habitat for Humanity is a great way for us to bring health and welfare to our community in a way that we haven’t done before – by helping give local families a warm, safe and clean home.”
“Affordable housing is a critical need in Massachusetts; we are delighted that NFP Thorbahn has chosen to lend their most valuable assets – the time, talent, skills and enthusiasm of their employees and customers to help address a social issue as important as poverty housing,” said Evelyn Nelson, Vice President of Development.
